Meet Neil Potts
Crosby & Spring was founded by Neil Potts, who brings a background that spans real estate, finance, and building businesses at scale.
Neil spent the early part of his career in London residential property management before moving into senior strategic risk roles at HSBC, working across London and Dubai.
That role involved complex strategic decisions at a high level, understanding how businesses actually work under pressure, and developing a discipline around risk that has stayed central to how Crosby & Spring evaluates every opportunity it looks at.
From banking, Neil co-founded The Vurger Co, a plant-based food brand that he built from a single site to four locations, over 80 staff, and international retail distribution across eight years.
Building an operating business through every stage of growth, from launch to scale to the inevitable hard decisions, gave him a perspective on what makes a business genuinely strong versus what merely looks strong from the outside.
Crosby & Spring acquires well-located properties below their potential value, executes high-quality renovations, and either sells into strong demand or holds for long-term rental income.
How we work
Disciplined
We do not chase deals to stay busy. Every acquisition has to meet a clear set of criteria before we commit. We would rather pass on a hundred reasonable opportunities than pursue one that does not work.
Hands-on
We are operators, not passive allocators of capital. We are fully hands-on in every project we take on, from renovation oversight to successful disposition and return of capital.
Long-term
We are not building to flip everything quickly. Some of what we acquire we will hold indefinitely. Our incentives are built around durable value, not the fastest possible exit.
Straightforward
We communicate clearly with our partners, move efficiently when a deal makes sense, and do not hide behind complexity. We want the people we work with, investors, sellers, and operators alike, to always know exactly where they stand.
